Pain Points
The client’s existing website on the WIX platform limited their scalability and user experience, particularly on mobile devices. They faced challenges in capturing leads and nurturing subscriptions, lacked e-commerce capabilities, and required a more flexible system to allow businesses to self-manage their profiles and content. Furthermore, the complexity of building multiple access levels and content types created challenges in retaining SEO rankings and optimizing content for search engines.
Project Goals
This project aimed to accomplish a broad set of goals. These included redesigning the website layout to support a seamless multi-device user experience and improving conversion paths for better lead capture and nurturing. The client sought a comprehensive e-commerce integration to support both paid subscriptions and product sales, as well as a self-service system allowing businesses to post profiles, case studies, and press releases based on their subscription level. Additional goals involved implementing an events registration system, optimizing website performance and scalability, structuring content for SEO, and simplifying site and ad management.
How we did it?
Assessment and Strategy
Our team began by evaluating the limitations of the WIX platform and formulating a transition strategy to WordPress. This included planning a seamless migration of content while preserving SEO rankings and developing a robust redirection plan to retain previous traffic and search engine visibility.
Custom Redesign
We redesigned the website with a focus on multi-device support, creating a responsive layout that delivers a high-quality experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. WordPress was selected as the CMS for its scalability, flexibility, and compatibility with WooCommerce, enabling effective subscription management and e-commerce functionality.
Subscription and E-commerce Integration
To meet the client’s revenue goals, we integrated a paid subscription system and an e-commerce solution, allowing for both physical and digital product sales. The subscription system was built to support registration, login, and gated content based on access levels tied to WooCommerce products.
Self-Service System Development
A self-service system was developed to allow businesses to independently manage their profiles, case studies, and press releases. This system enables up to five different content types for subscribers, with permissions tied to their subscription level, providing value and flexibility for users.
Event Management System
To enhance community engagement, we built an event registration and attendance system, allowing for different user types, including free users, registered users, and paid ticket holders.
Content Optimization
Our team optimized 200 pieces of editorial content, removing redundant HTML/CSS code and structuring content for search engines. This optimization improved load speed and enhanced SEO performance, driving organic traffic growth.
